On April 25, 2013, several representatives of energy efficiency advocacy organizations met with staff and members of the Compressed Air and Gas Institute (CAGI) along with some compressed air experts at the offices of the Alliance to Save Energy to explore and discuss a consensus approach to advancing energy efficiency of compressed air systems within the context of the DOE’s potential rulemaking on compressors. 

On Wednesday May 1, 2013, a group of non-profit and state energy efficiency advocates met with representatives of the Department of Energy to discuss the efficiency standards for Manufactured Housing.

On May 2, representatives from PJM Interconnection, L.L.C., the National Rural Electric Cooperatives Association, the Edison Electric Institute and the American Public Power Association held a meeting with members of the Department of Energy’s General Counsel and the Office of Energy Efficiency to discuss next steps associated with the referenced docket pertaining to residential electric storage water heaters.

On  Monday April  22nd, 2013 I had spoken with Mr. Jeremy Dommu with respect to the following topics:

a) Technical challenges of proposed efficiency level 6 limits, and the fundamental issue of proportioning the no load power consumption requirements to the nominal output power rating.
 

On Thursday April 18th, 2013 I had spoken with Michael Kido with respect to the following topics:

DOE issued a Notice of Noncompliance Determination to Haier America Trading, LLC finding that Haier model HMCM106EA, a freezer, does not comport with the energy conservation standards.

DOE and Haier America Trading, LLC entered into a Compromise Agreement to resolve a case involving the distribution in commerce of noncompliant freezers.

On April 19, 2013, representatives from PJM Interconnection LLC and the National Rural Electric Cooperatives Association held a phone call with members of the Department of Energy’s General Counsel and Building Technologies offices to discuss legal and procedural questions related to the docket referenced pertaining to residential electric storage water heaters.
