YMGI: Proposed Penalty (2011-SCE-1605)

DOE issued a Notice of Proposed Civil Penalty to YMGI Group, LLC, alleging YMGI (1) distributed in commerce noncompliant through-the-wall split system central air conditioner model TTWC-18K-31B; and (2) distributed in commerce residential central air conditioners without first certifying the models to DOE as compliant with applicable DOE energy conservation standards.

While our process may start with a "basic model" it is seldom that we fabricate more than a few units that are identical.  Therefore, the definition of "basic model" has a large impact on the implications associated with testing.
