DOE ordered Technical Consumer Products, Inc. to pay a $3,000 civil penalty after finding TCP had failed to certify that a certain model of medium base compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) complies with the applicable energy conservation standards. The Order adopted a Compromise Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and TCP.
