Washington, D.C. -U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu will travel to China and Japan November 14 - 19 to meet with government officials, business leaders and others to discuss the Department's ongoing clean energy and scientific collaboration with both countries.

Washington, DC - During a visit to San Francisco tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 22, U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu will visit Google, Inc. headquarters to participate in a fireside chat with company employees to discuss the Obama Administration's vision for a clean and renewable energy economy. While at Google, Secretary Chu will also participate in a series of briefings with company researchers and scientists to learn more about the company's innovative ventures in the energy sector.

WASHINGTON - U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu will travel to Ohio on Thursday and Friday to visit Cincinnati and Massillon. On Thursday, Secretary Chu will be joined by Congressman Steve Driehaus at the Cincinnati State Technical and Community College to learn about the school's workforce training efforts in renewable energy, energy audit, and sustainable building, and participate in a demonstration of a home energy audit. 

Will deliver remarks to conference attendees

WASHINGTON - On Monday, September 27, 2010, U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Representative Rush Holt will tour Applied Photovoltaics. With help from a Recovery Act-funded $1.1 million clean energy manufacturing tax credit, Applied Photovoltaics will manufacture solar energy modules for use in building-integrated photovoltaics.

WASHINGTON - On Thursday, September 23, 2010, U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu will deliver a keynote address at the inaugural GridWise Global Forum. Secretary Chu will discuss the importance of devloping a smart, strong and secure electricity delivery system to help build a 21st Century clean energy economy.

WASHINGTON -Thursday, September 23, 2010, Cathy Zoi, Assistant Secretary of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and Matt Rogers, Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Energy, will participate in a roundtable discussion with energy reporters. The discussion will focus on the Department's implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and the ways in which that investment is laying the foundation for a clean energy future.

Washington, D.C. - Following his trip to Vienna, Austria to attend the International Atomic Energy Agency's 54th General Conference, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy Daniel Poneman will travel to Mongolia from Wednesday, September 22 to Friday, September 24, 2010.

While in Mongolia, Deputy Secretary Poneman will meet with government officials and members of the private sector to discuss energy issues. He will also deliver remarks about the need to build a sustainable energy future at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology.
 

Washington D.C. - Beginning Monday, September 20, U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu will lead the American delegation at the International Atomic Energy Agency's 54th General Conference in Vienna, Austria. During his visit, Secretary Chu will deliver a speech outlining the U.S.'s priorities regarding the peaceful use of nuclear energy; strengthening nonproliferation and international safeguards; advancing disarmament; and securing nuclear material abroad.
