The Dodge City Community College is proposing to use Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding to install a ground source heat pump system that will serve the heating and cooling needs for a new student housing facility totally 32,000 square feet. The ground source heat pump system will be a vertical, closed loop system with a capacity of 70 tons. There will be 70 boreholes needed, drilled to a depth of 200-250 feet and covering 22,000 square feet.
