A few new cases involving requests to be excused from reporting requirements imposed by the Department's Energy Information Administration are now available. Access is available to DOE's regulations governing the processing of requests for exceptions from the requirement that you submit information to the Energy Information Administration (EIA). In addition, answers are also available in question and answer format to some questions commonly asked by firms that are required to file forms with the Energy Information Administration.
The Office of Hearings and Appeals is responsible for deciding Applications for Exception from generally applicable requirements of a rule, regulation or order of the Department, and analyzes Petitions for Special Redress seeking "extraordinary relief" apart from or in addition to any other remedy provided in the Department’s enabling statutes.
