Incentive determined as a percentage of the typical RCM salary to help get program started with initial set-up of utility database and program organization. Typically funded at 25% of the first year salary.
Puget Sound Energy's (PSE) Resource Conservation Manager Program (RCM) provides funding and support to customers who hire a RCM. The role of an RCM is to increase efficiency by focusing on improvements to Operations & Maintenance practices, and instituting best practices for resource usage (e.g. electricity, natural gas, water & sewer, solid waste and recycling). Most organizations can reduce annual costs from 10% to 15% over a three-year period.
The RCM program is available to any school district, public-sector government agency, and commercial or industrial customers, with the focus on larger customers with multiple facilities. For qualifying organizations, PSE will pay a cash incentive determined as a percentage of the typical RCM salary to help get the program started with initial set-up of utility database and program organization. Typically, PSE will fund 25% of the first year salary. Visit PSE's web site for more information, including an application.
Typical program participants have at least 1,000,000 square feet of conditioned space and an annual utility/resource budget of over two million dollars to support a full time RCM.
