NW Natural (Gas) - Business Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Energy Trust of Oregon administers energy efficiency rebate programs for both residential and commercial customers of NW Natural in Washington. Energy Trust is awarding the rebates and providing resources and technical assistance to interested customers. To be eligible for the commercial gas rebate program, customers must own an existing building in Washington and the improvements must be related to natural gas.

NW Natural (Gas) - New Homes Stand Alone Incentive Program

Builders with new construction projects in NW Natural’s Washington gas service territory are eligible to receive cash incentives from Energy Trust of Oregon for gas heated homes that receive Energy Star certification. Incentives for builders are available until December 31, 2012 and are subject to availability. For more information on the incentive program for builders, see the program web site.

NW Natural (Gas) - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Energy Trust of Oregon administers energy efficiency rebate programs for both residential and commercial customers of NW Natural in Washington. Energy Trust is awarding the rebates and providing resources and technical assistance to interested customers. To be eligible for the residential rebate program, customers must own a home in Washington and the home must primarily be heated with gas. A variety of energy efficiency improvements are eligible for rebates, including, insulation, windows, air and duct sealing, tankless water heaters, and furnaces.

Interconnection Standards

In September 2007, the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) adopted interconnection standards for distributed generation (DG) systems up to 20 megawatts (MW) in capacity. The revised standards provide for two separate levels of interconnection based on system capacity. The first level applies to systems up to 300 kilowatts (kW).

King County - Green Building Initiative (Washington)

The King County Green Building Initiative started in 2001, and was included in the King Code Code with the Green Building and Sustainable Development Ordinance in 2008. The ordinance requires that all county-owned facilities and financial capital projects be built to LEED Gold standards, including new construction, major renovations, and projects using alternative funding. Major renovations are defined in the statutes as work that affects more than twenty-five percent of a building's square footage when the affected space is 5,000 square feet or more.

Lakeview Light and Power - Commercial Lighting Rebate Program

Lakeview Light and Power offers a commercial lighting rebate program. Rebates apply to the installation of energy efficient lighting retrofits in non-residential buildings. The rebate program is funded by BPA and ends in September of 2010 or earlier if the funding is exhausted. Lakeview Light & Power hired Demand Side Engineering (DSE) to administer the program. Lakeview Light and Power - Energy Smart Grocer Rebate Program

Lakeview Light and Power, in association with the Bonneville Power Administration, offers the Energy Smart Program through which grocery stores, convenient stores, and similar vendors can save energy through energy efficiency upgrades and retrofits. Customers receive a free complete energy analysis of the facility’s refrigeration and lighting, and a customized report that outlines potential energy savings, rebate amounts, retrofit costs, and simple paybacks. The EnergySmart Program then provides over sixty rebates for a wide variety of energy saving measures.

Lewis County PUD - Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

[http://www.lcpud.org/index.html Lewis County PUD] offers rebates for commercial and industrial lighting, as well as industrial process upgrades, on a case-by-case basis. Eligible industrial processes upgrades include premium efficiency motors (as part of a larger project), motor controllers and adjustable speed drives, pumps, compressed air systems, refrigeration, and dryers.

Mandatory Utility Green Power Option

In May 2001, Washington enacted legislation (EHB 2247) that requires all electric utilities serving more than 25,000 customers to offer customers the option of purchasing renewable energy. Eligible renewables include wind, solar, geothermal, landfill gas, wave or tidal action, wastewater treatment gas, certain biomass resources, and "qualified hydropower" that is fish-friendly.

Mason County PUD 3 - Commercial and Industrial Energy Rebates

Mason County PUD 3 offers rebates to its non-residential customers for implementing energy efficient lighting, motor rewinds, refrigeration, commercial cooking equipment, and custom projects. Prescriptive rebates vary by type and the efficiency of purchased equipment. Information on some of these programs is available on the program web site.
