The "normal conditions" scenario assumes that
the repository performs according to design under the
circumstances and conditions we expect to occur in the
future. Additionally, because we expect wetter climates
to occur in the future and earthquakes to happen, we include
them in the "normal conditions" scenario.
Our current analyses show that in the normal conditions
scenario, which includes processes that are likely to
happen, the average annual dose
to a person living near the repository would be about
0.00002 millirem during the 10,000-year regulatory period.
